Delete Your Mently Account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Mently app (“Mently: Find Your Mentor”, run by Laura Andrea Paz Salas) and what happens to your data.

1. In the app

  • Open Mently and go to Profile → Account.
  • Tap “Delete account” and confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

2. Without the app

Email hello@mently.io from the address you use to sign in, with the subject “Delete my Mently account”. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email. If you write from a different address, we may ask you to confirm you own the account.

3. What is deleted

Your account, email address, profile, profile photo, swipes, blocks, notification settings and push tokens are permanently deleted. Your identity is removed from your matches.

4. What is kept, and for how long

  • Messages: the people you were matched with can still read your past conversation for 90 days, after which the messages are permanently deleted.
  • Reports: reports you made or that were made about you are kept for 2 years to protect other members and act on repeated abuse. Your identity is detached from them when you delete your account.
  • Support emails: correspondence with us is kept for up to 2 years.
